Brio's Summer Theatre Conservatory is not your ordinary camp—it's an extraordinary experience!
Step into a world where your actor can unleash their creativity and delve into a multitude of captivating subjects. From improvisation and combat to script writing and dance, our Conservatory offers a rich tapestry of theatrical exploration. Throughout the summer, actors will dedicate over 100 hours to honing their craft and mastering a diverse range of performance disciplines, resulting in exciting full-scale productions every three weeks.
But it doesn't stop there. Our Conservatory goes beyond the stage, aiming to cultivate essential life skills in each actor. Our dedicated teachers foster confidence, ignite creative problem-solving abilities, and nurture cooperation skills within a safe, engaging, and imaginative environment.

This summer give your actor the chance to spend over 100 hours on exploring theatre and putting on a musical all in 3 weeks!

Morning Classes

Get ready for mornings packed with endless learning and excitement at Brio's Summer Conservatory!
From the heart-pounding thrill of Stage Combat to the captivating world of Costume Design, our actors will embark on a theatrical journey like no other! Each hour, they'll dive into a medley of exhilarating training classes that are as fun as they are hands on! Brace yourself for a mind-bending experience with classes such as Theatrical Makeup, Improv, Character Movement , Voice and Speech, Musical Theatre Dance, Accents , Script Writing, Directing, and so much more!
No two days are alike at Brio's Summer Conservatory, ensuring that our actors, who join us for the entire three sessions of camp, will soak up more knowledge and skills than they ever thought possible! This summer will be an unforgettable learning spree that catapults their passion for theatre to new heights!
Stage Combat
Let’s get moving! Our students will learn how to create dramatic fight scenes in a safe way. In stage combat students learn spatial awareness, respect for others and acting with their physicality. Our stage combat class will be led by a certified professional in the field to ensure safety for all of our students. Students will learn exercised control focus and have a lot of fun!
Theatrical Makeup
Our lucky students will have the opportunity to receive a tutorial and Q&A from a professional makeup artist. Students will put their observation skills to the test and get the chance to participate in this masterclass.The students will be taught how to use line, color and positive and negative space to turn an ordinary actor into a beautiful mermaid, terrifying zombie, strong lion and much more!
Show Choir
Let your voice be heard! In the show choir our students will become real performers! Students will get a well rounded musical experience learning techniques from our Master instructors. We will be focusing on learning how to use your voice as an instrument. We will then get up and move! Using dance to tell the story we are singing about. Finally we will understand how to become a triple threat and sing, act and dance to create a beautiful performance!
Accents
Sound like you have traveled the world and back in our accent class! Learn anatomy of the throat and mouth and the phonetic alphabet to speak like a French spy, Irish queen or an Italian poet! Accent class actors will gain control over their own voice and learn to manipulate it into whatever sounds they want to produce. Accent studies will also cover Standard American, Classical American, American South and British Accents, along with many more.
Improv
Improvisation is a fun and creative way to learn active listening, storytelling and keep you on your toes! In our improv classes students will create the world around them without a script. They will learn how to trust their scene partners and be confident in their choices!
Movement
Get up and go in our movement class! This class will be based on the works of Laban movement. Using only their body students will create characters, stories and use their energy to have a lot of fun!
Musical Theatre Dance
Our one hour Musical Theatre Dance and Movement class offers actors the chance to enhance their physical strength, agility, and flexibility in order to better move and dance on stage. The focus of this class is to enhance your actors physical skills to better perform on stage in dance numbers as well as to physically embody their character work. As actors your body is your instrument and it is essential to fully master all that it is capable of.
Script Writing
Bring your creativity form the page to the stage! Our writers will learn how to use their imagination to breathe life into the characters they create. Our writers will dive into story structure, dialogue and character development to write their very own works and see them acted out before their own eyes!

Each session will have the same core components: morning theatre classes and afternoon theatrical rehearsals. Actors will spend the morning immersed in a variety of subjects that will encourage them to explore theatre with their peers in a safe space and have a lot of fun!
Once the afternoon starts our students will apply everything they have learned while rehearsing for a fully realized production!

See your new skills learned in morning classes come to life in a fully realized program at the end of the 3 weeks! Spend your afternoons at the Summer Conservatory rehearsing for your final performance up on stage. No two sessions will have the same shows!

Summer Showcase
4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Summer Showcase is a wonderful and unique experience open to all actors 5 and older! Our Summer Showcase is full summer long experience that meets twice a week in teh evenings. Student's will work on and prepare a will be learning a Review Show and Cabaret to perform on stage!
Our actors will take to the stage and have the chance to live their dreams while performing for their friends and family.
Summer Showcase Session will build a unique and one of a kind show around our actors, showcasing their talents, skills and everything they learned during the process. By connecting scenes, songs, monologues, duets and more our Summer Showcase cast will create their own evening of entertainment!
Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30- 6:00pm June 12th- August 18th (with the week of 4th of July off).
To add on a Night Showcase to any camp simply add $200 per Night Session onto the total.

Mini Players (5-8)
Half Day Sessions
Our littlest actors will foster big personalities in our half day classes!
Our Minis will be introduced to theatre through a variety of different classes. Every hour our actors will rotate through a variety of training classes designed to be fun, encouraging and a little out there! Classes can include Theatrical Makeup, Improv, Character Movement, Voice and Speech, Dance, Accents, Script Writing, Directing and More! Our Minis learning will focus on literacy, learning through play and confidence in a safe space. We tailor our curriculum to each age group so our students are having a blast while learning!
The fun keeps going in our Full Day experience.
Our students will apply everything they learned in the morning to our afternoon production rehearsals. Minis will have the chance to act, sing and dance in a fully realized performance chosen specifically for their age group. Through performing our Minis gain confidence and cheer on their castmates!

Youth Players (9-12)
Half Day Sessions
The Youth Cast will jump into an intermediate level of theatre each morning.
Every hour our actors will rotate through a variety of training classes designed to be fun, encouraging and a little out there! Classes can include Theatrical Makeup, Improv, Character Movement, Voice and Speech, Dance, Accents, Script Writing, Directing and More! Our Youth’s learning will focus on creativity, cultivating relationships and autonomy in a safe space. Our Youth have the perfect amount of independence and support all while doing what they love!
Full Day Sessions
The fun keeps going in our Full Day experience.
Our students will apply everything they learned in the morning to our afternoon production rehearsals. Youth will have the chance to act, sing and dance in a fully realized performance chosen specifically for their age group. Our Youth discover why their characters are who they are instead of simply being told how they get there. The show is a reflection of their creativity and it is wonderful to see them shine on stage!
Summer Theatre Conservatory
Upper Middle School and High School Division
(13-17)
Half Day Sessions
The Upper Middle School and High School Division will begin each morning warming up their minds and bodies for an advanced level of theatrical training that is perfect for their age group!
Every hour our actors will rotate through a variety of training classes designed to be fun, encouraging and a little out there! Classes can include Theatrical Makeup, Improv, Character Movement, Voice and Speech, Dance, Accents, Script Writing, Directing and More! Our Division cast members focus on different methods of theatre from famous acting teachers such as Stanislavki, Alder and Hagen. In our classes our Juniors will laugh, bond and grow into educated actors and wonderfully well rounded people.
Full Day Sessions
The fun keeps going in our Full Day experience.
Our students will apply everything they learned in the morning to our afternoon production rehearsals. Division cast members will have the chance to act, sing and dance in a fully realized performance chosen specifically for their age group. At the Upper Division level, our actors collaborate creatively with their directors. Our students have a hand in creating the world of the play and will participate a variety of different performance genres such as Shakespeare, pop musicals and plays.
Mini - Ages 5-8
Youth - Ages 9-12
Upper Middle School and High School Division - Ages 13-17
Summer Showcase
Our Summer Showcase offers student the opportunity to work independently on a piece of their own or in a small group. In a safe and fun learning environment, students will dive into character development, music, movement and more! They will learn together in a collaborative group and then use those skills to apply to their performance.
At the end of the session our students will perform their pieces in a Cabaret style showcase while their classmates cheer them on!
To add on a Night Showcase to any camp simply add $200 per Night Session onto the total.
Summer Acting Lessons
Add on even MORE summer theatre training!
Private acting training allows your young actor to dive deeper what brings them the most joy! Working alongside one of our Brio Theatre Staff your actor can advance their strengths, work on new techniques and strengthen areas they are struggling in all in a safe and one on one environment. Lessons are 30 minutes in length.
