Q: Is the production really free?
A: Yes! The only fees associated with FairyDoll are individual costume payments.
Q: Can we audition for more than one role?
A: Yes! Most dancers choose to participate in 3 - 4 roles to enrich their experience
Q: How do we find out what roles my child has been selected for?
A: Following auditions, a casting email will be sent on Monday, March 4th.
Q: What should my dancer wear to auditions:
A: Dancers should wear a black leotard, pink ballet tights, ballet slippers, and hair should be smooth and pulled back.
Q: Will my child feel part of the group if she doesn’t know anyone?
A: Yes! This is community performance, where children who love dance and performance of all ages, experiences, and home dance studios come to celebrate the art of balelt. Here, we will facilitate bonding among the cast. Like a “summer camp experience”, your child will make new friends and memories!
Q: Do I have to be a member of the community to participate?
A: Nope! This is a community based production. The ballet brings children from all over Wisconsin together and do what they love…perform! Dancers do not have to be a current member at Brio Studios to audition. Students from the greater Milwaukee area are invited to audition: Brookfield, Sussex, Menomonee Falls, Pewaukee, Waukesha, Hartland, Delafield, Oconomowoc, Wauwatosa, Milwaukee, New Berlin, Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, and beyond are welcome to audition.
Q: What Experience do I need?
A: Because this show is fully youth-casted, we have an ample amount of roles for all ages & ability levels! This means whether you are new to dance or have years of experience, you play an essential role in putting on the show. See our Available Roles under the Audition Section to see what parts would apply for your dancer
Q: Can I stay with my dancer at auditions?
A: Absolutely! Parents are welcome to stay in our lobby during your dancer’s audition time..
