Wisconsin’s top coach of Division 1 Dance Team athletes is here to prepare you for college dance team recruitment with his College Prep Dance Clinic this winter

Ages 12+ | 2:00 - 6:00pm
Ages 7 - 11 | If your dancer dreams to dance on the sidelines of a university football game, or on the center stage at College Nationals, your path starts now. This is your introduction to pre-college dance clinic. Get a step ahead with early training and preparation for how to successfully navigate and excel at future college recruitment clinics. Dancers will be exposed to learning choreography combos on the spot, across the floor technique drills and exercises, how to have a positive and succecssful clinic experience, and of course, have fun and be challenged and grow!
Ages 12 - 18 | This is your rehearsal and preparation for being ready to rock at college clinic and recruitment events. Dancers will learn combos, practice across the floor technique, get insider tips and tricks on how to show up and stand out at these events for a successful college audition path. All dancers will receive feedback from instructors on areas of technique that they should focus on, as well as performance and audition aspects that can help them stand out among the crowd. Whether you are already fully committed to a college recruitment path, or still considering if you’d like to dance in college, this is a perfect, approachable but productive experience to be ready for success.
Following many years as a competitive gymnast, Nate found his love for dance his sophomore year of high school. After 3 years on his high school dance team, Nate entered the All Star Dance World - where he won three World Titles at the Dance Worlds. Nate joined the Brio Staff in 2018 and now exclusively coaches the National Teams Program. In 2021, his coaching help lead his teams to win four 1st places at The Dance Summit, an Overall Grand Champion and High Point at the Dance Summit and a Silver Globe at the Dance Worlds. In 2022 remained Silver Medal Champions in Senior Open Jazz, and his Senior Large Contemporary routine took home a Gold World Championship at The Dance Worlds in April 2023.
Nate’s goal for each dancer is for them to achieve greatness. Whether that be winning a national or World title, or making a college dance team. Nate’s coaching has led to many of his graduating Seniors over the past six seasons being selected for College Dance Teams including the University of Minnesota Dance Team, University of Iowa Dance Team, and the University of Cincinnati Dance Team. His purpose in bringing a college dance clinic experience to Wisconsin is to provide our local dance community with a winning advantage in following their dreams.
